All too often when we see a UFO video posted to YouTube, there are “issues”. Either the clip is too short and barely shows the UFO, there is no wide shot to give us a frame of reference or any number of other factors that make the video worthless as evidence of the UFO phenomena. This is not the case with this series of video posted by YouTube user PSYLEOEIGHT. All total we have nearly 27 minutes of footage showing a group of UFO orbs in the skies above Merced, California on the morning of September 24, 2007. Other than being a prime example of shaky-cam and one other issue that I will discuss later, this is incredible footage. Of the three clips, I find the first the most interesting since the orbs/UFOs appear to be flying in triangle-shaped clusters of 3. While it may be an optical illusion, they appear to remain at a fixed distance from each other. This would seem to indicate that what we are seeing is not a series of balloons released into the sky (which one might be led to believe from the other two videos).

This brings us to the one issue I do have with the videos. All three videos have the unmistakable green tint of a camcorder’s IR/night vision mode, however in the description of the second video the witness claims the sighting occurred between 10 and 11 AM. This would have been in broad daylight. Why would he have needed to shoot in IR mode? The skeptic in me wants to say that it is to make something identifiable and ordinary look out of this world. Meanwhile, the believer in me wants to give the witness the benefit of the doubt and say that either the AM is a typo or that the camera had been permanently converted for IR filming. I have reached out to PSYLEOEIGHT to find out and will post his answer if he replies.

While many have donned the tights since, for anyone who watched TV in the 1950′s, there is only one Superman, George Reeves. Never as squeaky clean as the Man of Steel, Reeves violent death on June 16, 1959 at the age of 45 left a continuing controversy. Ultimately ruled a suicide by the LAPD, several individuals over they years have claimed Reeves was murdered on the orders a former lover, yet no definitive evidence has ever been presented to support the theory. Regardless of how Mr. Reeves ultimately left this plane, it would seem that he is not quite ready to give up his Benedict Canyon home. Since the late 60′s there have been reports of ghostly happening at the residence. Multiple witnesses have reported hearing noises from the bedroom where Reeves died. When they go upstairs to investigate, the room was often found re-arranged. In one instance, renters reported that they heard noises coming from upstairs during a dinner party. When they went to investigate, Reeves’ former room was torn apart as if someone was looking for something. After cleaning up the room, the group returned downstairs to find their drinks had been moved from the coffee table to the kitchen. Other reports of paranormal activity at the home range from the smell of gunpowder filling the room to appearances by Reeves’ apparition in full Superman regalia.

Superman Haunts

Here we have an interesting video that comes to us via Youtube user “controlfreakssuckass“. Recorded Sunday, October 23rd, the video shows an object that appears to be flying near or in the spray of a chemtrail plane. Judging from the video, the object appears to pass over the chemtrail which gives us an idea of its altitude. What is extremely interesting about this video is that the object appears to change course as the spray plane passes by. It is hard to tell from the video, but the object may have even passed through the trail of “yuck” (to quote the videographer). Because of the near 180 degree shift in the object’s heading, I feel comfortable ruling out a balloon. Also, since we can infer that the object is traveling at high altitude, we can also rule out the object being a bird. This leaves us to ponder exactly what the object might be.

If we look at the context of the sighting, it would almost seem as the object purposefully intercepted the chemtrail plane. Assuming the object passed through the spray (and this is, given the evidence we have, a rather large assumption), it would also seem to reason that the object was “sampling” the chemtrail. While I have my own (wildly unfounded) theories on why this would happen that range from corporate espionage to quality control for a global conspiracy preparing the Earth for an alien invasion, I am interested in hearing what you think is going on here.
