Filmed in Carp, Ontario this past August, this video shows a triangular formation of flashing lights. What particularly drew me to this footage is that despite how incredibly close the object or objects seem, you cannot hear anything other than the witness and passing traffic. Had this been an airplane or helicopter, there should have been some sort of familiar sound audible. Also, the lights all appear to be white. Since the object appears to be traveling toward the camera, we would expect red and green marker lights to be visible on an airplane. Additionally, all three white lights appear to be flashing. On an airplane, we would only expect 2 white flashing lights and maybe one or two red flashing beacons. This all seems to lend some credibility to the statement made by the witness in the video that he checked the “radar” and there is nothing nearby. What could have been in the Canadian skies this August night?

Residents of the rural community of Harbour Mille in Newfoundland were shocked when they saw strange objects streaking up from the ocean Monday night. Darlene Stewart spotted the mysterious object while out taking photographs of the sunset. Shaken by the sighting, she called her neighbor Emmy Pardy and her husband. All told, the trio witnessed three of the objects flying up from the sea. Pictures taken by Mrs. Stewart show a long possibly cylindrically shaped object trailed by smoke or fire (which doesn’t rule out a missile launch). The witnesses reported that the objects made no noise as the flew across the sky. The incident was investigated by the local police who “confirmed that it was something”, but refuse to elaborate further on the incident, instead referring further questions to the Department of National Defense. Officials from the DND have refused to comment on the incident leaving the quiet community wondering what it is they saw.

[UPDATED See below.] For a few brief seconds of the 2001 IMAX film “Great North” a dark figure is seen on the far side of a river. The figure, which went unnoticed for 9 years, seems to startle part of caribou heard that the crew was filming crossing the river. While the figure is currently unidentifiable in copies of the film available online, big foot researchers are currently attempting to track down the filmmakers in the hopes of being able to find a print of the film at the full IMAX quality for further analysis. If they are able to find a high quality version of film, the researchers should be able to tell whether or not the film crew inadvertently documented the existence of an undocumented North American hominid. Until that happens we are left to ponder over lower resolution versions of the clip, like this one taken from Youtube:

While there is definitely no way to make any identification of the figure, the clip is more that clear enough to peak my interest in finding out exactly what was filmed. What do you think?
