UFO Formation Filmed Over Bergen, Fyllingsdalen, Norway

This interesting piece of UFO evidence comes to us from Bergen, Fyllingsdalen in Norway. Unfortunately we don’t have a date the sighting took place, but it is probably safe to assume this footage was taken sometime near November 14th, 2011 (the date it was posted to YouTube). While there isn’t a great framing shot to give us a clear point of reference, there is a moment where the witness fumbles with the camera and we can see that the objects being filmed are indeed in the sky. Also there doesn’t appear to be any of the tell-tale flashing (or multi-colored lights) that would indicate that the object is aircraft. Additionally, the color of the objects is too light for them to be Chinese lanterns (and again, no flickering). What do you think was in the skies over Bergen?

Triangle UFO Filmed Flying Silently Over Virginia – November 13, 2011

Here is a really interesting video that was taken Sunday, November 13, 2011 somewhere in the state of Virginia. According to the witness, he had just returned from grocery shopping and was unloading his car when his wife noticed something streak across the sky. This is when he started filming in the direction of the streak, capturing the triangle-shaped craft we see in the video. Now, from the audio track we can infer that the witness had a pre-existing interest in the UFO phenomenon. Sometimes, this sort of pre-existing interest can lead a witness jump to conclusions about what they are seeing. (Just search UFO on YouTube. You will become an expert in aircraft navigation lights in no time.) However, I don’t think this is the case with this video. There are just too many factors that seem to indicate that this is a legitimate UFO sighting.

First, we have the video footage itself. The recording appears to have started mid sighting, which matches the statement the witness submitted to MUFON and is what you would expect in a sighting where the witness was caught off guard by the appearance of a UFO. Also, we can see buildings and lights, so we have a frame of reference to judge the object by. Not only does this give us an idea of orientation and position, it also lets us make assumptions about the true color of the lights on the object. Because the other lights in the footage appear “normal” (i.e. how you would expect exterior lights to look if you were sanding outside at night), we can safely assume that color of the lights on the object is true. Since the object is moving towards the camera, if it were an airplane or a helicopter, we would expect to see the red and green marker lights that are required by FAA regulations. In this footage we merely have a triangular array of white lights. Additionally, the audio track is also telling. In it, we can literally hear everything from crickets chirping to the breeze passing over the microphone. What we don’t hear is any engine noise or rotor chop as the UFO passes overhead. Taking all of this into consideration, it would seem that this is legitimate UFO footage.

Another UFO Sighting Reported In Lee’s Summit, MO – October 31, 2011

Just barely a month ago the first reports of UFOs over Lee’s Summit, Missouri started to pour in. Now we have another report from Lee’s Summit of a UFO spotted on Halloween. The witnesses report seeing the craft while out trick-or-treating, and followed it. Above it the best version of the video available on YouTube. In it we can see a ring of lights moving overhead. In the original version of the clip (embedded bellow), we can hear what sounds like aircraft. Could this footage possibly show the KC Flight Formation Team that claimed responsibility for the first Lee’s Summit sighting?

Unless there is a conspiracy at work to cover up the Lee’s Summit UFO activity using the flight team as a “scapegoat”, I believe the answer to be yes. According this post on the team’s Facebook page, they were performing a flyover at Arrowhead Stadium for the Chief’s game. In fact, the post made Monday morning specifically said, “Monday Night Football, KC Flight will be generating UFO reports as we hold over the Lee’s Summit area, waiting for the run in on Arrowhead for the National Anthem.” Additionally, this photo which was taken at the game shows the flight team passing over the stadium looking a lot like the UFO in the video. Given the preponderance of evidence, it would seem that this UFO sighting can safely be reclassified as an IFO sighting.

While I would have loved this to have been the “smoking gun”, I am still happy with the outcome in this case. Every time the Ufology community is able to find a solid explanation for a sighting, it lends all that more credibility to the sightings we cannot explain. Unfortunately, the opposite is true when we are too quick to jump on an explainable sighting as UFO evidence. In the end, that sort of rash sensationalism ends up hurting the community. Take for example this sighting, a number of large UFO sites were more than happy to just regurgitate a MUFON report, embed a YouTube video and slap the UFO evidence label on the event. It took me maybe 30 minutes to research this sighting and fact check my conclusions. Now, not every UFO sighting is this cut and dry, but as a community we need to look at what we are posting as “evidence” with a critical eye if we want any chance of being taken seriously when we do finally uncover the “smoking gun” that proves beyond any doubt what we all believe.

Chemtrail Plane Caught Spraying On Video

Unfortunately, we have no information about this footage what so ever. Judging by the uploader’s username, NewYorkMuseums1, and the trees that are visible in the clip, I am guessing that the video was shot somewhere in the North East United States, possibly New Your State. Again using the trees that we can see as a guide, it seems the footage was taken in the Fall. Considering the video was uploaded on the 27th of October, it is quite possible that this spraying occurred recently. Even without any concrete information about when or where this clip was recorded, it is still an excellent example of a chemtrail plane in action.

Aside from how slowly the spray disperses (which is a key indicator of chemtrail spraying), I can’t help but notice how the left most stream bows out from the others. It is almost as if the nozzle is bent at an angle or partly clogged. Had this been a contrail and not a chemtrail all four streams should behave in a consistent manor (either all parallel or bowing in a similar manner). This is just not happening here. From what I can see in this video, I am convinced that what we are seeing is a chemtrail being sprayed and not an innocent contrail. What do you think?

Two Glowing UFOs Spotted Hovering Over Utrecht, Netherlands [October 19, 2011]

Normally, I am not one to post videos or pictures of single points of light in the distance, but for some reason this video of two glowing UFOs hovering in the sky that was shot yesterday in Utrecht, Netherlands just seemed to stick out. For one, the person filming seems to be genuinely surprised by what he is seeing. Also, the objects themselves seem to behave in an interesting manner. In most “single point of light” footage there is some apparent movement, here there is none. The objects also disappear and reappear in the exact same position. Normally in “single point of light” videos we see a constant or flickering light. Additionally, the objects remain at the same point in the sky despite lateral camera movement. If we were looking at reflections in the window (which is a common technique in hoax videos) they would have moved with the camera. Ultimately though, we can only speculate on what the two glowing objects really are.

New Super Photoshop Will Haunt Paranormal Researchers and Ufologists

It is no secret that Photoshop can be a giant pain for researchers investigating in UFOs, the paranormal or other Fortean interests. In the hands of a skilled user, there is no limit to what can be done to a photograph. Want a ghostly apparition to spook up a boring shot? No problem. Need some “evidence” to put the finishing touches on a UFO hoax? Sure, it will only take a minute. Fortunately, most “shopped” photos are obvious fakes, clear indications of their creator’s lack of skill. That’s a good thing too, a truly gifted Photoshop artist can create images that require advanced forensic analysis to reveal as hoaxes. Thanks to a group of students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, that is all about to change.

The UIUC students have created a technology that allows anyone, regardless of skill, to insert objects into a photograph with stunning results. The inserted objects can even be easily animated, flawlessly interacting with their surroundings. The software that these student’s have developed is mind-blowing. Just take a look at their demonstration video.

The very first scene seems to foreshadow the quality of hoaxes that paranormal researchers will face once this technology comes to market. It is already difficult to identify good evidence, especially online. Once the general public is able create fake photos and videos of this quality, it will become near impossible to even begin judging any evidence without a full forensic analysis. As the line between what is real and fake blurs Fortean researchers will have to become even more and more suspicious of every shred of evidence they examine.

Are Amateur Rockets The Next Big Thing For Ufology?

The footage you are watching was captured during a Carmack Prize attempt by team Qu8k. (More footage is available at the end of the post.) While the simple fact that this video was recorded by amateurs who managed to send a rocket through 99% of our atmosphere to an altitude of 22 miles is absolutely amazing, what I find exhilarating is what private launches like this can mean for ufology. Presently, when it comes to searching for UFOs outside of our atmosphere, we are stuck either peering through telescopes or searching through NASA footage. While we can be in full control of our telescopes, the problem with NASA footage is that NASA decides what footage they release and it doesn’t seem that they are keen on sharing any UFO evidence with the public. This means ufologists are stuck looking for scraps missed by NASA’s censors.

However, amateur rocketry gives us another option. As you can see from these videos, private citizens are now capable of recording incredibly high quality video from space (more or less). While this launch didn’t catch anything “interesting”, we can see that if something was there the rocket’s cameras would have recorded it. Each private launch gives us a chance to collect incredible evidence that otherwise would be unavailable to UFO researchers. As the technology developes, launches like this will become a possibility for more and more people. We will no longer dependent on governments or large corporations to let us look beyond our own planet. I really think we are at the precipice of something amazing. What do you think?

Webcam Captures Glowing Triangle UFO Over Hawaii [October 9, 2011]

Capured October 9th, 2011 by the Cloudcam at the Canada-France-Hawaii telescope on the island of Hawaii, this video shows a strange glowing triangular object moving across the sky. While the from the Youtube video posted above does a good job of showing the object in question, it doesn’t however give you the full picture. If you view the original footage (available here), you can see the object seems to be moving across the sky at the same pace and direction as the stars. This leads me to believe that what we are seeing isn’t in our atmosphere, but is in fact in orbit. Interestingly enough though, according to the time code on the video and Heavens Above’s satellite tracking, there were no publicly known satellites above the observatory at the time (nor was the IIS). While this doesn’t rule out a covert satellite, it also doesn’t eliminate the possibility of some other type of space craft, maybe even a UFO.

Comet or UFO, What Crashed Into The Sun October 1st, 2011?

Here is an interesting clip that shows a series of images collected by NASA spacecraft studying the Sun. As you watch you will see an object streak into the Sun and moments later a coronal mass ejection (CME) erupt out the opposite side of the Sun. NASA’s official stance on the footage is that the object in question is a comet that disintegrates long before reaching the Sun’s surface and that the CME is just a coincidence. While everyone could agree that comets don’t cause coronal mass ejections, the timing and location of the CME in regard to the object’s impact seem to some to be a little more than coincidental. They believe that what is shown in these images is not a comet but a space craft of some kind either crashing or flying into our home star triggering the eruption. What do you think, comet and coincidence or is the CME in the video caused by a UFO? Share your thoughts in the comments.

Plane Buzzing UFOs Caught By Australian Filmmaker

Let me start by saying that I am a little conflicted on whether I should post this clip, but I am going to anyways and let you decide if you can trust what you are seeing. This footage was shot on a cellphone by an Australian filmmaker by the name of Michael Freudenberg. Apparently, while on a September 21st flight between Hamilton Island and Brisbane, Australia, he captured the two objects zipping past his window while he was recording video. According to Mr. Freudenberg, while he was filming he thought the objects were just a reflection on the screen of his cell phone. It wasn’t until he watched the footage that he realized he had recorded something outside of the plane.

First, let me say that I don’t take any issue with the fact that he was just randomly recording the view from his plane’s window as some of the YouTube commenters have. Personally, I have taken photos out the window of a plane just out of sheer boredom. Also as a filmmaker who sells stock footage from his website, Freudenberg may have been “testing out” a shot to see if it was worth shooting something similar in higher quality. Frankly, I feel that there are enough potential reasonable explanations for the filming that we shouldn’t discount the clip just because there isn’t a blatantly obvious reason for him to have recorded. This however brings us to the elephant in the room.

Mr. Freudenberg is a filmmaker, with access to exactly the type of editing tools one would need to fake a UFO video. On the same YouTube channel where this clip can be found, you can also find clips showing off visual effects, including clips of fire digitally added to a scene. However, the VFX clips are clearly marked as being visual effects and this clip has no such indications. Also, none of his other YouTube videos seem to deal with UFOs This brings us to the question, do we automatically discount UFO footage if it was filmed by someone with the tools and skill to fake the shot? As I said before, I am conflicted. Part of me wants to immediately ignore this footage as a hoax designed to show off a filmmakers CGI skills, but another part of me wonders what if it isn’t CGI?

This footage raises a lot of questions and not just about the existence of alien life or UFOs. Do we automatically discount a video because it comes from someone with the skill to produce a hoax video without even spending the time to find out if it is real or not? Unfortunately, this is almost always the case. Who know what evidence has been ignored as a hoax by a jaded UFO community just because of the source. So here is the video and the “facts” as I know them. Make up your own mind and let me know what you think in the comments.
