Faster Than Light TravelIt seems that those plucky scientists at CERN were not about to take the “debunking” of their Earth-shattering discovery that faster than light travel was possible lying down. Amid claims that their original experiment was flawed, the CERN team designed an improved version of their experiment that addressed the alleged shortcomings in the previous tests. Even after addressing “concerns” raised by the scientific community, the CERN team is continuing to observe neutrinos traveling faster than the speed of light. Once again, it would seem that Einstein was wrong when he set a universal speed limit.

If they are indeed correct, the CERN team may have made one of the most important discoveries in the history of man kind. A discovery that has the potential to usher in a new era in our history and take our species into the stars. Unfortunately, the powers-that-be are not fond of change and view anything that could potentially upset their precious status quo as a threat. Previously, we mused that the “debunking” of the original experiments might be the result of a conspiracy to suppress the truth about faster than light travel. If this is correct, the CERN team will no-doubt face increasing attacks on their work that seek to keep faster than light travel in the realm of science fiction and out of the realm of science fact.

Abductee SymbolUnidentified symbol related to abductions

Nearly two years ago a strange symbol was brought to my attention by paranormal researcher Chris Holly. She encountered the bizarre glyph while investigating UFO abductions and turned to the internet to aid in identifying its origin. Like many other people she had spoken to, I recognized the symbol, but could not seem to recall from where. This bothered me, so I began my own investigation into the symbols origin. After spending countless hour searching through UFO and abduction reports over the past months, Ms. Holly and myself are no closer to determining the symbols meaning or origin than we were at the beginning of our search.

As part of my investigation, I used Google’s “Search By Image” functionality to try to see if anyone else had posted a similar image online. While the search has continually failed to produce any direct image matches, it has however yielded interesting results. When I searched using a version of the symbol drawn in black, the top similar results were all diagrams of molecules. This has led me to think that the symbol may not actually be a symbol per say, but instead some sort of diagram. Unfortunately, without labels the diagram’s meaning is not immediately apparent. Quite often, abductees under hypnosis recall being shown images by their captors almost as if they were being instructed. I can’t help but wonder if this diagram is part of some such “lesson”. What then could the “lesson” be? Is the symbol a constellation, some sort of chemical or biological structure, or even a road map identifying an important location? Hopefully someone will recognize this series of lines as something familiar. So once again, I would ask that if you happen to have ever seen or are familiar with the symbol/diagram at the top of this post in ANY context, please contact me at john@meetstheweird.com. Any information you could provide is appreciated. Hopefully together we can finally solve this mystery.

Giant Lego Minifig Found In FloridaBeing a Floridian I have spent more than my fare share of time on the state’s beaches and from time to time have seen some weird stuff wash up on shore, but I have never seen anything this weird/awesome in my life. Earlier today at Siesta Key Village, Florida, Jeff Hindman found a giant Lego Minifig washed up on the beach. Now for the life of me, I can not understand why he left the 8 foot figure on the beach (if I had found it, it so would be sitting in my living room making my inner child uncontrollably giddy), but he did.

Amazingly, this is not the first time that this has happened. Yes, giant Minifigs have washed up onshore before. Four years ago a similar Minifig was found in Holland followed by a second in Brighton, England a year later. At the time research into the giant Minifigs revealed a connection to a website for Ego Leonard which is apparently run by a group of Dutch artists. Could this giant Lego have spent years floating in the Atlantic before making its way to the Sunshine State or is it part of a new group of giant figures deposited off the Florida coast (possibly linked to recent opening of LegoLand Florida)?
